He said what?..........

Samuel Eto gives his opinion of what Chelsea beating Barcelona means to football (he isn't bitter at being snubbed by them, really!): "Chelsea going through is a disaster for football. And if this team wins the Champions League, it would make you want to retire." It looks like the Catalan club could face the early retirement of their star striker.

The best result..............

The best result..

The best result had to be for Plymouth Argyle when playing Mark Mcghees' Brighton. A 5-1 drubbing would of eased the painful memories of the five goals they themselves conceded at West Ham.
Manager Bobby Williamson said "I think we have been knocking on the door for a long time and we managed to get the five goals today."
The Southerly team really did look the business, on form like this there can be no doubt they will retain there Championship staus.

The most unpredictable.............

The most unpredictable game played this weekend had to be between Reading and West Ham
Before the match I couldn't have given a scoreline other than nil, nil.
The Royals were looking for their first win since boxing day and the hammers were coming off two defeats, plus the little measure of Pardew returning to the Madejski. It had all the hallmarks of a tragic anti-climax but Dave Kitson made sure everyone was entertained (apart from the hammers' fans) with a hat-trick. Nice one Dave!

The demise of a Red dream.

For Sir Alex and keano this could of been the last real chance of regaining the most illustrious title in Europe.
They have, in their time, witnessed some thrilling matches. This wasn't. United never looked like an outfit capable of breaking down arguably the best defence on the continent. So what do we need to do?

Glory Glory man united

The Reds certainly will go marching on.
With Wonderboy Rooney spearheading our attack and record breaking Ruud on his way back to form I firmly believe United can pip Chelski to the title.
Were in not for the tragic positioning of Timmy Howard for the Pompey goal we would have a kept, a deserved, clean sheet. It was a joy to watch the Fratton Parkers' totally humiliated on the footy field.
Aside from that, did anyone see poor old Delia trying to raise the bar at Carrow Road last night? Your supposed to be the twelth man, les-be-aving you! She actually uttered those words at half time, at 2-2!? Norwich consequently lost the game-nice one Delia.
