Forget the premiership...........

Forget the premiership, the championship is the most intriguing league in the country.
The three legged race for the premiership crown dwindled into mediocrity a long time ago.
Chelsea will win the title. Arsenal and Man Utd will take the two of the champions league places despite both having comparitively dissapointing seasons-wow, no-one would have thought it.
The championship on the other hand is a hive of activity and excitement every week. Sunderland look to have done enough to secure promotion, but with Wigan only three points behind them and five games to play it could go right down to the wire.
The real battle in this division is between Reading and West Ham. The Royals looked like a team fit for relegation after christmas. They went ten games without a win and after watching them lose 3-1 to Coventry at the Madejski stadium I would have put a lot of money on them not making the play-offs. It was lucky I didn't. A Dave Kitson hat-trick secured the points against the Hammers and a scrappy 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forrest this weekend, courtesy of James Harper means they now stand in sixth place. West Ham on the other hand are a team under serious pressure, and it starts at the top. Alan Pardew ironically left the Royals at the start of the season for the greener pastures of Upton Park-oh dear. He now finds himself managing a team that trail his former club by four points and has had to endure supporters calling for his job- after a match they won (3-1 versus Coventry). But, this is football so he could still be managing his team in the premiership next season-well, mathematically.
